Juraj Parajka is PostDoc at the Institue for Hydraulic and Water Resources Engineering, Vienna University of Technology. He received his MSc degree in Geography from Comenius University, Slovakia, in 1994 and his PhD degree from the University of Technology, Slovakia in 2001. From 1997 to 2002, he worked at the Slovak Academy of Sciences in the experimental hydrologic research. In 2002, he received a European Marie Currie Fellowship (5.FP) at Vienna University of Technology to focus on the spatial estimation in water resources at the regional scale. In 2007 he received a British Council RXP award for studying effects of climate change on snow hydrology in the Alps. He has authored about 60 publications of which 20 have appeared in peer reviewed journals.
